How much does it cost?
Our hypnosis mp3 download, "Stop Smoking with Hypnosis and Know How You Did It!" is available for only £19.99.
For a more personalised experience, why not have a one-to-one online consultation with Paul Douglass, the author and presenter of the download. During your online consultation, which can take place as a Skype Video Call (or audio call), Paul will explain exactly how the hypnosis is going to help you to stop smoking, and then you will be sent a copy of the hypnosis download, all for only £99.
Full face-to-face sessions with Paul Douglass are £250.
If you are looking for a one-to-one stop smoking hypnotherapy session with a therapist in your area, please use our find-a-therapist service to find your nearest hypnotherapist. Because each therapist sets their own fees, it's impossible to say exactly how much a session will cost.
Where are you?
Our own practices are in north London and north Cambridgeshire, but by using our online consultations and mp3 download, we can help you wherever you are!
If you're in the UK and looking for a one-to-one session with a therapist in your area, simply use our FREE find-a-therapist service to find someone closer.
How many sessions will I need?
We use a single session approach, but some therapists sometimes do their stop smoking over more than one session.
If you use our hypnosis download, you can listen to it as many times as you like.
How long does the session
take?
For face-to-face sessions, each therapist works differently, and so the length of the session will vary depending on the therapist. Face to face sessions with Paul Douglass usually take somewhere around 90 minutes.
Our mp3 download actually consists of more than one recording, and has a running time of just under two hours.
The online sessions with Paul Douglass consist of two parts... an online one-to-one consultation of about 45 minutes to an hours, and then you'll be sent a copy of the download, which lasts just under two hours.
What happens during the
session?
Our stop smoking hypnotherapy sessions basically consist of two parts... the part where we talk about smoking... why you do it, why you have found it difficult to stop in the past, how easy it can be if you stop for the right reasons, and to discover what those right reasons are for you.
This is a really interesting and informative part of the session, and a lot of people say that they know they've already stopped smoking just by understanding this part, before they've ever had the hypnosis!
The second part, the hypnosis part, is where you get to put your feet up and relax, and listen to some very positive suggestions which can help you to stop smoking far more easily than ever before.
Both parts are covered in the download, but for a more personal experience, Paul Douglass can do the first part of the session with you online, via Skype.
Is it a
group session?
No, normally it's one-on-one.
What's
the success rate?
Hypnotherapy is bound by the same advertising regulatory authorities
as any other business with regards to making claims of success
rates. As a reputable business we abide by these rules
completely, and so do not offer a 'percentage' figure.
Nevertheless, we can go as far as to say that we are very pleased
with the number of clients who come to us because they have been
referred by a previous client.
What does hypnosis feel like?
Hypnosis is a perfectly normal, relaxed feeling that we
all experience from time-to-time. It feels a very much like 'daydreaming'.
Will I put on weight?
People who put on weight after they stop smoking usually do so
because they've just swapped putting one thing in their mouth with
another. Our sessions are designed in such a way that the
likelihood of this is much reduced. However, anyone that does
put on a bit of weight, usually finds that it's only a few pounds,
and even then, it tends to settle down after a while.
I've tried gum, patches, cold turkey... nothing's worked for me... will hypnotherapy
work for me?
Yes, it certainly could. The thing about patches, and to a
certain extent gum as well, is that they depend entirely on the
person believing that they are physically addicted to
nicotine... they do absolutely nothing to deal with the habit of smoking.
Think about this... if you were physically addicted to nicotine,
you would have to smoke as many cigarettes during the night, as you
do during the day.... do you do this? Having asked
this question to countless smokers during the sessions, no-one has ever said that they do.
Hypnotherapy deals with the habit of smoking, and that is why it
is so much more successful than patches or gum.
Will I be asleep?
No, just really relaxed. It does occasionally happen that the
person falls asleep if they're really tired, but they still subconsciously hear what's going on, so it can still work for
them.
Will I remember the session?
Yes you will, although it may seem shorter than it actually was.
Are you qualified?
Yes. We are qualified, full
time professional hypnotherapists. We are practicing
members, and council members of the International Association of Pure Hypno-Analysts, and as such we are bound by the strict codes of conduct of the
associations, and maintain a high standard of continuing
professional development and training.
If you use our FREE find-a-therapist service to find a therapist in your area, we will only refer your details over to someone who is also a member of the association
I smoke 80-a-day. Am I beyond
help?
Not necessarily. If this sounds like you, please do contact us
and tell us a little bit about yourself. As qualified and
registered analytical hypnotherapists (Pure Hypnoanalysts), we could well be able to help
you using different therapeutic techniques.
Is hypnosis like the stuff you see on
the TV?
No, it's nothing like that at all. Those people who are up on
stage are very carefully chosen.
How will I feel afterwards?
Most people open their eyes at the end of the session and say that
they wish they could stay there all day! If someone does
feel a bit 'bleary-eyed' as they leave, we usually recommend that
they don't drive for 5 minutes or so.
Are
there any guarantees?
No, no-one can guarantee the actions of the human mind.
It just isn't possible.
Is there anything I need to do to get
ready for the session?
Not really. If you want, and if you have supportive people around you, you can always tell them that
you're going to have the session, so that they can support you. It's a good idea
to get rid of any
cigarettes, ash trays and so forth that you may have, but other than
that, just look forward to it!
If you're going to have one of our online sessions, you'll need Skype installed, and if it's going to be a video call, you'll need a webcam.
How do I book an appointment?
Simply click the appropriate links to book and online consultation with Paul Douglass, or buy the mp3 download, or find a therapist in your local area.
Do I still need will power?
Yes. You've got to really want to stop smoking... and by that,
we mean for yourself, not for anyone else. If you really want
to stop, for you, then you've got all the willpower you need.
What happens if I cancel my one-to-one consultation?
If you have a one-to-one consultation booked with us (either face-to-face, or an online consultation), just
give us 72 hours notice, and we'll cancel or reschedule your
appointment for you. If you've already paid, we'll refund your
money (less administration fees of £12).
Any appointments with ourselves that are cancelled with less than 72 hours notice,
the full fee will apply, because your therapist's time and
facilities will have been reserved for you.
If you have booked a one-to-one session with a different therapist via our find-a-therapist service, then you will need to ask the individual therapist for a copy of their own terms and conditions.
